Same sample tree under each candidate. Default monoline is too sparse for fast type scanning; Material is rich but heavy. These proposals sit between: scannable type/folder cues without full Material noise. Pick one as the playground (or product) default.
Sample includes folders, open/closed, symlink-to-dir, VCS mark, common langs.
